Marker Description: The northern entrance leads to a parking area at the foot of a small hill, which is an old apple orchard. Past the orchard there is mid growth hardwoods down to Buckhorn Creek. A pretty rumbling water over small boulders and rocks. There is a nice manmade pond (good for swimming maybe good for fishing). To the left of the orchard is steep rocky hilltop. There are a number of old farmer or logger roads so walking is easy and the wooded area is not very thick with underbrush. There is considerable deer sign.

Went small game hunting late morning and there was one other car in the North Lot - a bow hunter. He said he saw a number of does but nothing within range. Also mentioned that he has seen a mother black bear and her two cubs on a number times this season. I walked up through the orchard and through the woods to Buckhorn Creek. Then up along the Creek to the pond and then looped around back to the lot. When I went through a swampy area behind the houses on Buckhorn Drive I shot a squirrel and then at the top of the rocky hill next the orchard I saw about 25 turkeys and a doe.
