PA D&L Trail, Hugh Moore Park
Marker Description: The Hugh Moore Park is part of the D & L Trial or Delaware River Canal Tow Path. The Park sits at the intersection of the Lehigh River and the Delaware River and the start of the canal.

The trial is paved from the Park and heads up river on the south side of the Lehigh. It is nicely secluded and peaceful along the path.

We hiked from the free bridge in Easton along the Lehigh to the 25th Street brigde where we crossed the river and continued to a ball field, where we rested and ate. We brought our dogs who had a blast. Was probably the best hike I have ever taken. If you continue past the ball fields you will come to a damn. This spot was a great spot to rest.

Walked today from the Delaware River up to the railroad bridge. It is a nice walkway, with honey suckle and raspberry and black berry plants along the path. Would be good to come back when the berries are in.

The path is low to the river and separated from the roads above so you can let your dog off the leash. Unfortunately, we came across some human feces and some soiled underwear and our dog ate some of it. That's city limits hiking/walking for you. Also the dog caught a young goose but let him go.

Also, it was very cool to see the fish ladder down at the dam.

Good flat paved trail - good for biking as well.
