CA Trail of 100 Giants
Marker Description: Trail of a 100 Giants is inspiring. You think monster Sequoia trees are nice and all and then you see them up close and you are in awe. Monster sequoias are close to the main road and one after another we had 92 giants left to go and we were there until the little ones wanted to go. Very cool. Trees you can climb inside with 10 people, trees you can walk through, amazing burn scars - you feel the mist they drink from as you rise from the dry desert floor in Kernville. I guess they call Kernville the gateway to the giants for a reason - probably only 45 minutes from town - not far but the windy road takes some time - no guard rails - woah!

Went with family and the little ones loved it. Brought a cone back to plant in the yard! Probably a federal crime. Come and get me.
