Marker Description: This is a 4.0 mile loop. Good hills, super mossy and green and beautiful. I did the trail clockwise. At about 1.7 miles, there is an optional 0.3 spur trail to see the confluence of Big and Branch Creek that will loop back around to the main trail. If you don't do the short Confluence Trail, you'll come to a junction with the Mt. Eleanor trail. Stay right at this fork (you'll see a bridge that you should cross).

ACCESS: Travel US Highway 101 to Hoodsport and turn onto State Route 119. Drive 9 miles to the junction with FS Road #24. Turn left and travel 150 feet. The entrance to Big Creek Campground is on the right. The trailhead is 400 feet inside the campground next to the picnic shelter. **When I was there, the bridges to the trail from the campground were washed out but there were signs indicating where to go (just about 250 feet further down FS Road 24. The trail is well-marked from the road.
