MT Beehive Creek Trail
Marker Description: Beehive Creek Trail is a 1.64 miles round trip, with gain in elevation of 293 ft, which takes about 3 hours, of moderate difficulty and is an out and back hike.

Beehive Creek Trail is a nice little trail with interesting sites marked by nature education signs. It is a great trail for learning more about the area. The trail follows Beehive Creek, crossing it at a few points, and has several log benches for relaxation along the way. In early summer, wildflowers of various colors and shapes blanket the ground--truly adding to the beauty of this trail.

Trailhead: Follow 64 (Spur Road) into Big Sky, Montana. Continue West past Big Sky Resort (Mountain Village). Just before you arrive at the Moonlight Basin entrance, turn right onto Crow King Road - you want to stay to the right toward Beehive Creek and Jack Creek Road - see the satellite image view on the map - the marker is placed at the parking area. After a little over a mile you will reach the Beehive Basin trailhead and parking on your left. Access to Beehive Creek Trail is accross the road.

Nice trail that with very scenic views. Saw a moose and her calf. Very cool. If you take long walks you can handle this trip.
