NJ Washington Valley Reservoir
Marker Description: Mostly largemouths, catfish, carp, and panfish inhabit the reservoir. Fishing from shore can be difficult in spots due to high rock walls. The reservoir can get very muddy after a rainfall. In the summer, algae blooms can choke off a good portion of the lake. There are hiking and biking trails all around the reservoir. Also cliff jumping.

Parking off Newmans Lane, see the "P" on Google Maps.

This place is loaded with bass. I parked on chimney Rock rd. Open fence leads to a trail around the lake.

Saw the biggest bass I ever saw in my life here last summer. Didn't even get a swipe but watched it cruise by the shoreline.

I have fished this reservoir a few times, never had much luck. Doesn't look too "fishy," either.
