NJ Pohatcong Creek, Creek Road
Marker Description: This is a heavily trout stocked stretch and very picturesque. There are some natives but the area is heavily fished and a put-and-take fishery for the most part. This spot gets a dumping at fall stocking, there is a gravel pull off right here. Also check the rope swing in the summer although it's not all that deep here. Break ya neck.

Took a few casts with a pink trout magnet with no luck. A guy in a pickup pulled in and said he had some luck downstream this morning.

Fished the spot for fall stocking, in years back I always see a lot of nice fish in this hole. I haven't had much luck catching them in the fall but wanted to stop in to watch the fish. Didn't see anything. Perhaps, I waited to long and they got cleaned out but thought I would see at least a few.

I fished today at the pull-off with the rope swing. It is the day after fall stocking. I saw a number of big rainbows. The fish weren't interested in anything but I finally got a nice brookie to hit a yellow trout magnet. Check aouut me pic.

2008 fall stocking pics. Tried everything and couldn't get them to bite, came back a week or so later and someone else had - the fish were all gone.

It just rained rather heavy so the water is regular coffee to go but normally runs clear.
