I hear you Brownie. I think the guys in this stretch just walk up and down the road with their stringers. Look what I got.... wow, good for you, truck chaser!

The water was the perfect amount of murky, caught six in about a half an hour. One rainbow five brook trout, all 10-12. Lots of fisherman keeping lots of fish:( Shame because the trout can last in the Pohatcong Creek. I just can't see someone cooking up four or five trout for the whole family - I think they stack'em up in the freezer and use them for the garden once they are freezer burned. But it is what it is. Check out my stringer - yo!

Today was a stocking day and I went with my Dad at 5:00 P.M., there were a number of cars down at the railroad tunnel and up at the bridge where we started fishing. We talked to two other fishermen who said that the DF&G was going to stop stocking the area between the bridge and the tunnel because the owner had posted his entire property and had been writing down license plate numbers and running people off his property. Shame b/c it is a nice area along the guy's property. We need an NJ Stream Access Law!!! Regardless fish were heavy above and below the bridge and down by the entrance to the tunnel. I caught 16 brook trout and my Dad caught eight. No real size but these fish were good fighters. I was using a trout magnet (pink) and a Mepps Thunder Bug with a gaudy white and green tail - go figure. It was crazy good - all released:) Hit it up if you're in the area.

Fished for fall stockies but had no luck. There were some nice pools and riffles between the bridge and the railroad tunnel. The pool under the railroad tunnel is super deep.

I didn't see any fish or get any strikes.
