PA Penns Creek, End of Rte 3002
Marker Description: Trout stocked water, no-kill, artificials only. Park in lot at end of 3002 and walk the trail until you find some water that looks good. Very deep pool above an island, nice pockets and riffles below that. Area is also open to hunters, so during hunting season an orange cap would be a good idea, just in case.

Fished this stretch with George and Andy on 11/20/10. Fantastic looking water, could not believe we didn't pull one out of the deep hole above the island. George pulled two browns out of the fast water with a gold Panther Martin. I caught a pickerel (yeah, that's right) on a white grub. Was surprised at the overall lack of fish, especially since it is a no-kill stretch. This spot is probably better in spring or earlier fall.
