PA Monocacy Creek, Meadow Park
Marker Description: Monocacy Creek at Monocacy Meadow Park is trout approved/stocked waters with a good number of stockies as well as native/holdovers. Surprising amount of native rainbows because the Monocacy is known as a native brown trout stream.

Marker placement is a nice large parking area. Well worn paths along the creek. A lot of small trout darting everywhere.

Fished with dries and small nymphs as well as trout magnets. Saw fish all over. Caught three small native rainbows. I only fished in the pools above the bridge for about half an hour. When I first walked from the lot down a path to the creek, I looked in the water and saw at least ten trout among the suckers. Very impressive.

A spin fisherman was fishing below the bridge and caught a nice brown about 16 inches that he strung up. Good spot.
