Marker Description: Minsi Lake is a solid pickeral fishery and a good place, interestingly enough, to wade fish. With waders, try to the right of the east boat launch where you will find a number of inlets and creek channels. If you work around the weed beds using surface lures you will have luck.

The lake is shallow and you can fish over 200' before it gets over the knee but there are drop offs of 3 to 6 feet in some areas on the north side and your standard fare muck near shore. The western lilypad field that covers about 10-15 acres of the lake and is a very good area to work by foot b/c boats can't get in.

ALSO if you go into the woods on the northeast side, you'll see a series of canals and some concrete dams of an old trout hatchery, where you will find the cold, natural springs feed the lake.
