PA Marshalls Creek, Resica Falls Road
Marker Description: Marshalls Creek along Resica Falls Road is bubbling with native brown trout. From the three way junction between Resica Falls Road, 402 and Marshalls Creek Road up along Resica Falls to the next bridge the brown trout are all over the place. The stretch starts with a long riffle along a stone wall supporting Resica Falls Road. The next few pools are excellent leading to a fine pool created by a huge vein of rock that creates a deep pool compete with foam bubbles curling on one side and a fast run on the other.

Below the junction of these three roads there are also a number of good pools.

Fished on my way back from a friend's house in Barryville, NY for a short time. I walked up the warm water release side of the lake and caught a bunch of sunnies. When I walked the short connector path to the Marshalls Creek proper it was non stop action. On my first cast I had a fish that was screaming out drag, I missed the fish but saw it and it was about 16. My drag was not step right - way to loose. Switched the drag and managed a brown on the next cast of about 14, great fight. Caught a total of seven browns, moved up the the nice hole in the photo and then back down below the bridge to the two nice pools below. Only caught one fish in below the bridge in fast water. I believe the fish were natives based on the way they fought, colors and full formed fins. Also caught a brown about four inches long. Fished only withe the pink magnet you see in the photo. Was run and gun fishing so I didn't bring my proper fly fishing set-up out. I will next time on my way through. Nuts to have such good trout fishing only a 100 feet from a Weiss supermarket at the intersection of three roads. Crazy good trout fishing.
