PA Cherry Creek, Lower Stretch
Marker Description: The Cherry Creek from behind the Sycamore Grille to the Delaware has some nice riffles and deep pools. No stocking in this section but good sized native brown are here and there. Not the crazy trout per mile of upstream sections but decent trout water none the less.

Walked from town down into the lower stretch. Planned to go all the way to the Delaware River but headed back due to lack of any success. There were some nice pools and riffles but the creek is essentially flat and wide in this section - not enough of a channel. The water was still cold.

I caught only one chub and saw no trout. The pool below the dam had under water flood lights still on in the middle of the day from the house next to the creek. That hole is deep and looks great but I had no luck there.

Also, there is a lot of trash in this stretch. Surprised that I had such litle luck with trout and saw no sign of them.
