Marker Description: The Bouchouxville access is a NYS Forest parking area with a trail to the river. The trail is over private property and the owner placed green metal box with a sign-in sheet at the trialhead to record name and address and the time they enter and exit the river. The owner requests that no boats be launched or taken out at this access.

A wall of gravel is created by the Bouchouxville Brook and the cold waterer flows into a swift chute called the Bouchouxville Riffle. This location is a cold water refuge that holds trout in the summer months. Many trout hold in the middle but the right bank is packed with trout. The tail end of the pool is pond like and holds some browns but the majority of fish hold in the fast water.
