Ha! Yeah, I "trespassed" yesterday on Burnett Brook to the tune of 11 wild browns in less than an hour ;). Barbless all the way of course...

DBrown: Cool that you posted to the site, hadn't been back to site in a bit, you can see there is very little activity. Anyway, great talking with you about stream access. All NJ water is held in the public trust but somehow we wind up being trespassers anyway. Ha!

David.. chatted with you on the phone a couple weeks back re: the stream access. This stretch is one of my favorites and only about 10 minutes from the house. I did very well early last year with wild browns, native brookies, and a pod of wild rainbows west of the Tingley bridge. Strangely, no rainbows so far this year. Best fish so far this year was a 13-14' brown that I had to keep because he took a Panther Martin single barbless hook so deep he was bleeding badly. Hurt to keep him.

I go here when the major rivers are running high. This place does not disappoint if you like catching many wild but small trout. Plus I never see other people fishing. Go there and enjoy beautiful wild natives.
