NJ Stephensburg Brook
Marker Description: ARTIFICIALS ONLY. Designated wild trout stream, Stephensburg Brook. This stream is extremely small with very low flows and I question whether there is any true sustainable population of trout. If so, regardless, it is not worth fishing in my opinion. The brook is very pretty and runs through a ravine with nice tree cover, far away from houses so it is a nice hike along the stream and likely will not result in any issues with landowners -if you were to fish it from Cider Lane down into "town". As I said in my opinion it is not worth fishing it, I saw no small fish, no vegetation and no sign of trout. The water was cold and clear though, I don't doubt there are trout give the designation. Maybe someone can add a post who knows the Brook.

Walked a short stretch below Cider Mill Road. No sign of trout. Flows are very low. Won't be back to fish unless I get some enlightenment.
