NJ Pompton River, Pompton River Park
Marker Description: Pompton River Park just north of the Boonton Turnpike is a solid place to target pike. The pike fishery from Pompton River Park downstream to the Passaic is excellent. Pike from 25 to 35 inches are common. Reports of live baiting shiners and spinnerbaits yielding results.

Floated down in my kayak from the Park down along the Riveredge Road side of the Pompton down to two bridges and caught 9 pike from 22-28" - Despite the high temperatures the fish fought hard and swam off with no issue.
