Marker Description: The North Branch of the Raritan River at Natirar (Raritan spelled backwards) is a solid trout fishing stretch. The Natirar stretch is located in a 90 acre park that has a really good restaurant at the top of the hil called 90 acres where they serve some of the food grown in the park. There is easy access to the river. Reports above the reservoir/lake are of good populations of native trout and holdovers.

The North Branch is a free stone without much in the way of vegetation so although the river can look good in some ways it does not look all that alive but is decent water. Not anywhere as good as the South Branch of the Raritan but good if you are local.
