NJ Musconetcong, Bloomsbury Railroad Tunnel
Marker Description: The Bloomsbury Railroad tunnel has two tubes. The one on the left when your looking upstream is the deep one. Both have fish but the deep tunnel can't be waded at normal to high levels and is the one to fish. There is also a nice log jam between the tunnels as of 2013, which holds some fish.

You can access the spot via parking at the Bloosbury WaterCo parking area at the road. This is a NJDF&G trout stocking location. Seems to be a lot of talk about breeders at this location.

I was surprised to find the water high and very discolored. I almost didn't get out of my truck. But it was a long ride just to turn around. Best choice I ever made. I pounded brown trout one cast after another in the fastest dirtiest water I think I ever fished. I don't know how the trout could see my butterworms. Then my rod doubled over and a fish ran downstream 60'. After fifteen long runs in a strong current and twenty minutes later my imaginary 8 lb. trout turned out to be 4 lb. channel catfish.

Fished the log jam and the shallow tunnel with no luck. Saw a fishermen slamming them in the deep tunnel. Also got a photo of a small golden trout from above.
