NJ Lopatcong Creek, Route 22
Marker Description: Lopatcong Creek at Route 22; lots of stocked trout like to hang out in the cement tube under 22, they think they made it back home to the hatchery. Always seems to be 10 or 20 stockies, but they stream is so small and the flow so slow it is not much of a fight when you get one.

Parking: On Locke Street by the bridge, walk on the cornfield side of the stream because an old man at the white house can be a prick. Or park on the opposite side of Rte 22 at the collision center and walk downstream.

New beaver dam backing up the Lopat from below the Rte 22 bridge - through the bridge and above. Trout are thick in the tunnel. I access from above - the cinder trail. The property owner below can get nasty. Caught quite a few nice native browns.
