NJ Hakihokake Creek, Javes Road
Marker Description: The trees along Hakihokake Creek are littered with trout stocking signs and no trespassing signs, which is always quite ironic. However, there are some inviting parking areas, which actually invite fishermen, with no littering signs without no trespassing signs.

As to the actual creek it is a clear flowing cold water stream but it has that clean swept look against large rock formations - no vegetation, little life. Lots of suckers and the occasional put and take trout on this very small stream - it does head through a meadow at the split where the marker is placed. Nice place to take a kid and find the holes where a few trout are stacked up.

Not worth taking time to really explore, an only if you are in the area spot.

Stopped at Javes and Miller Roads and saw a lot of suckers and caught one stocker rainbow. Water clear but not full of life, no insect activity, nothing special.
