NJ Musconetcong, Hughesville
Marker Description: The "Hughesville" Lunker hole named for the historic sign at the parking pull-off for this spot is a very slow deep hole - probably 6 to 8 feet deep for a good fifty feet. There are a few boulders near shore and a rope swing.

This is the hole where you see torpedo sized trout commonly.

It is the first road side pull-off after the dam pull-off. Look for the brown Hughesville historic sign. See pic of parking area.

Fished today and saw a number of 16 inch fall stockers. Tried the panther martin spinner, trout magnets yellow, pink and white/chartreuse - no luck at all. I didn't see any monsters.

My Dad fished yesterday and caught one small brown and saw a 20 plus and 17 inch rainbow in the deep hole. They didn't look twice at his metal.
