IT Tevere River Tail Race
Marker Description: The Tevere is ranked as one of the best tail races in Italy. The cool temps provide waters for browns and grayling. This river is an Italian favorite. It flows through the eastern area of Tuscany, close to the town of Anghiari, which is a very good option for those who stay in the Florence or the Chianti region. It looks like a calssic american western stream, I guess this is why the Spaghetti western landscapes worked so well.

This river is a sight to see in photos I can only imagine how nice it is in person.
This river is restricted to classic fly-fishing only and catch-and-release regulations. Fish population includes the Apennine Brown Trout (looks to be the huge red spotted brown variety as seen in the photo) and the European Grayling.

DRIES: Mayflies, caddis, terrestrials - Big Browns (larger than 20”) come up to terrestrials too.
