NJ Ha Ha Creek, Rte 519
Marker Description: Ha Ha Creek has native browns and a lot of minnows and suckers. It is a very small creek and is good for fly fishermen in search of beautiful small natives. There are some nice pools upstream behind the homes.

Park in the large lot of the bar/restaurant.

Ha Ha was high and gin clear today caught a bunch of minnows on my way hope from the Pequest TCA, then landed a 13 inch minnow that deserves to be called a fall fish. Normally, if you catch a minnow and call it a fall fish you're a douche but this one had the pink to red hues and was real nice.

Stopped in on my way to Belvidere and fished with pink bead head nymph as soon as I flipped the nymph into the water from the little bridge a nice twelve inch brown hammered it; about ten other little trout swam about in circles and into a pipe. I landed the nice brown and there were no other trout in fest after the spook fest. The Ha Ha is always good for one nice native. Catch and release. Seems like there are even more fish now that the restaurant is closed - it has been closed for a while - whatever there were always trout here. I once walked up across the street between the houses and caught a few but there isn't even a decent plunge pool for quite some way - the tunnel under 519 and the spit out pool on the other side is the only spot with a good enough amount of water to hold fish of any real size and get at least some little fight from the fish.

Caught a nice native brown that hit as soon as my black green trout magnet hit the water. When getting a photo the fat little guy broke my two pound and flopped on the pavement, not how I would like to treat such a beauty but he swam off fine saw about ten nice trout right in the hole next to the restarant.

Fished on my way back from Belvidere and had a nice 10 inch native follow in my lure. Couldn't get a strike. Right at the marker photo - fishing off that little walking bridge.

Small trout spooked easily. Caught a minnow on a small green beadhead nymph. Tried a tan and green fly and got some rises from minnows - no rises from trout.
