Fished Gooseneck Lake for about 45 minutes on a cloudy afternoon. Small bass and sunfish EVERYWHERE! Lots of baitfish in the shallows next to shore. Every minute or so a splash could be heard from bass chasing bait in the shallows. I caught 7 or 8 small bass on a soft jerkbait, nothing over 10". Saw one in the 3-4 lb. range. Don't know what other species may be present, I imagine it's the usual suspects of perch, pickerel, pike, catfish, etc. Water was some of the clearest I have ever seen, could see bottom very clearly down to five feet, which was as deep as it got around where I fished. Lots of water snakes and frogs around as well.
