AZ Alamo Lake Campground
Marker Description: Alamo Dam State Park is a fee area, but there are several free camping areasaround Lake Alamo. Scenic views of Lake Alamo with cactus and rugged
mountains in the background.

Harsh desert enviorment, be prepared with water and proper supplies.

DIRECTIONS:
From Hwy.60
Turn north at Wenden and follow the signs. At milepost#29, take Wayside Road to Wayside. Turn left on Wickenburg Road and it's a couple miles to Alamo Wildlife Area.

These are desert roads and you cross many washes that are prone to flash flooding. If the weather forecast is for rain, either avoid this area or bring plenty of supplies, because you might be there a couple days.

Purified/ Filtered drinking water in Quartzsite.
Shower at Q Laundromat $5 per person.
Showers at Lake Havasu State Park $7 per car.
Least priced gas in Parker or Lake Havasu City.
